Powell Point

On Tuesday we went up to the most beautiful place ever, Powell Point. Everyone, including Nick, said how crazy we were because it was so cold. It was 5 degree with the wind chill at Ruby's, so to go up to I guess 12,000 ft was insane. The wind was blowing at Ruby's, but not up on the mountain, it was nice and calm. It was a litle hazy, so we couldn't see as far, but is was still so beautiful. My dad was so nice to let us borrow the Ranger with heat. It was a tight squeeze to get all four of us in there, but it was better than freezing on a fourwheeler.

The red ridge is the rim of Bryce Canyon and of course Ruby's Inn is just behind it though you can't see it.


The trailor was too narrow for the door on the Ranger to open once it was loaded. We were very careful not to do any harm to my dad's Ranger, so we decided it was best to keep the door closed and have Nick climb through the back. When we got back, Nick had to climb through again to get in and my dad was there and asked why we didn't just load it with the door open:)

This is the herd of elk out back of our house that we hear every night and get to see every morning. The day before they were a lot closer, but I didn't have a camera. I think it is so cool to be able to have a herd of elk out my back door and to be able to watch them every morning.

The Things Kids Do

This is one of our many adventures over to see the horses

Today was school pictures, so I took Rylee down and Drey was already at school. Drey's teacher brought him in when I got there, and he was digging in his nose. I told him to stop so he could get his picture taken and he said "No Mom, I have a rock in my nose". His teacher said he had been digging for a while and he had played with rocks earlier. So I got him to stop digging long enough to take a picture and Nick came over when we got home, and after a lot of blowing, this is what he blew out of his nose.

Dreyson's First Day of Preschool He said he got in trouble for not sitting down, who would have ever thought... Yes, the shark hair came off a week later for school

Rylee is just excited to be back with all of her friends

Bryce Canyon Rim Run

Just before the race, Ugly socks, I know but my shins depends on them
Rylee ran the 1 mile with Nick She fell twice and got back up, running the whole thing, Nick ran the whole mile too

Starting out, there I go

I finished in 41:58, eight minutes better that last year I took 5th in the women's and 3rd in my division

Mike ran also, he took 1st in his division

Dreyson's "Shark Hair"

I cut Drey's hair and it turned out kind of bad. So the next morning I had to go to Cedar and Drey and Rylee stayed home with Nick. I asked Nick if he would fix Drey's hair to make it look good. I had only made it to the freeway when I got a text picture of Drey with a mohawk. I was upset, but he called it his shark hair and it was cute.
